are the following:
establishment of main and distribution gas-pipe networks
pipe lines for natural gases containing carbon-dioxide
pipe lines for supplying bio-gases
The life time of a professionally constructed hard PE pipe line placed under the ground, with operational temperatures below 20°C and the operational pressure level being in accordance with the pressure level of the product, is 50 years.

Make-up:
Gas-pipes are manufactured from hard linear PE raw materials with strenght features of PE 80 (MRS-8) and PE 100 (MRS-10). The gas-pipes with diameters of ø20-125 mm are manufactured in coils, whereas those with diameters above ø110 can be produced in lengths (12 /15 /18 m). The colour of the gas-pipes is usually black, with four longitudinal yellow stripes on the surface of the pipes (the identification marking is also yellow).

Gas-pipe networks can be constructed by welding and/or by using standard fittings which can be purchased together with the pipes.

Transportation, storage:
External mechanical damage is to be avoided when transporting or storing the pipes. Large quantities of lengths are transported in unit piles. Black pipes can be stored in the open air without any restriction up to 18 months (yellow pipes up to 6 months). After longer periods of storage, the utilisation is subject to quality tests.
